I actually did not set out to purchase this kind of system. I was originally looking for a smaller integrated amplifier, but very few exist (none without major flaws). So I decided to purchase this little home theater surround system. It sounds pretty good, the speakers are small but produce plenty of volume, at a decent quality too. I would not recommend this unit as your primary home theater sound system unless you are on a very tight budget. But let me add it is certainly worth the $89 price. Here is how this unit could be improved: 1) Eliminate the universally loathed blue LEDs. Blue lights are hard on the eyes and give some people headaches. At least in this device, they are not overly bright. The volume display and channel number display are correctly done with red LEDs. 2) The remote control is fussy about being aimed within approximately 10

The system was really easy to set up and the speakers have great sound quality for the price. I would recommend this to a friend. The only thing that is cheesy about the system is the fact that the remote is not well made and feels like it will break at anytime. Overall a great purchase and worth the price.

This product came in fast and was packaged well. The sound out of this system is amazing and I also like the fact that you can control the main volume and also on the controller you can control the center, subwoofer, rear right and rear left volume levels all with seperate volume buttons wich is a GREAT feature. The only problem I found with this is the RCA wires are not long at all and cant be properly used for a surround sound system if you dont have long enough wires to extend the rear speakers behind you. To solve that problem is extremly simple though if your ordering off of amazon you should just go ahead and buy a RCA Female to Male Jack wich will include a red and a white I baught a 25 foot wire myself but depending on your room size or how far you plan to extend your speakers you can buy your wire accordingly. Simply plug the Male from the speaker into the Female extention and then the Male from the extention into the Input on the Receiver

I was looking for a simple surround-sound system. After sometime searching, I came across this unit. It was a perfect match as all I needed was more depth than what my LG flatscreen offered stock. The cables aren't long enough to postion the speakers more than a few metere from the unit itself, but I wasn't planning on doing anything extensive as far as installation goes. The sound quality is great for the money! Also, the unit has multiple inputs as well as a built-in radio. If you want something simple for less money that gets the job done, this is your unit.

In Short: This system is not for the Music Enthusiast who is incredibly picky about sound clarity and quality. You won't find a system in this price range that will comply to that kind of sound quality snobbery. You will NEED a system using digital optical cables. This system is for those wanting an affordable, reliable surround system with decent voulume: This system is VERY well priced! It is PLENTY loud enough with great bass response for its price segment. The RCA cables that are used to connect the speakers to the head-unit/subwoofer are pretty short but extensions are really cheap. I have had my system for over 6 months now and not ever experienced any problems. I use it to listen to the radio and watch movies in surround sound with it all the time. Pros: Volume level for price segment Cons: Cable Length! Clarity isn't amazing but not gonna find better for this price Overall, This is a GREAT theater solution! I compared TONS of products and even purchased a more expensive system (even after the extension cables) but returned it in lieu of this one. I HIGHLY recommend it :D My Application: Since all 5 speakers are the same other than cable length, I used the rear speakers on the front because their cables are longer. I then used the would be front speakers at the rear and used 25' extentions. Worked out great. The RCA cables used to connect the unit to your input source (TV, DVD player ect) are also very short (something like 3ft). In this price segment You can expect that at full volume there will be some distortion and hissing more noticalbe at extremely low volumes. Of course if you are experiencing distortion at high volume it is likely you will damage the speaker if you continue to punish it at that volume continuously. Simply turn it down a few notches until it clears up. This system is till VERY loud in its prime operating range (about0%-90% volume).

I wasn't too sure about this purchase at first. Trying to find a decent audio system priced appropriately was made easy with this product. Im using it as a computer/home theatre system. I use it for gaming, netflix, music, tv, movies, etc. Pros Great sound Easy Hook up for stereo system, or converting to mini stereo for mp3 or sound cards. Quality built. Satelites look nice, subwoofer does the job. Remote is decent.. Kinda small Cons SHORT A$$ CORDS

I bought this product because I was looking for an upgrade from my 40" LCD tv internal speakers. I wanted a system that did not need a separate amp and came across a few good ones with a decent price on Amazon. Went with this one because of the price, Amazon Prime shipping, and good reviews but was still skeptical about other people's opinions on the quality of sound the system produces. Plugged it in and was blown away! The system was much better than I expected out of an $89 system. I now have very rich sound when I'm watching TV, DVDs and playing PS3. Definitely buy this if you want an economical yet high quality surround sound system for your home. You honestly cannot go wrong with this. Other reviewers said they had problems with shipping but I had absolutely no problems with Amazon Prime.
