Review by The Big Mack "Mack" : KICKING SOUND FOR A COMPUTER!!!

I bought these for my new computer since it came with a sound card and I got so much better sound quality than with my old computer and the same pair of 2.1 speaker I bought years ago. Still, I wanted better. I love the sound quality when listening to music with these 5.1 surround sound speakers. Having the volume control right next to the keyboard is nice too. It was easy to install with clear and easy to understand instructions. The only thing, and everyone said the same thing, you have to go out and buy extension wires for the rear speakers. One would think that they would realize that the consumer would need something longer than what they supply. I only have a small room, I can't picture what someone with a much larger room would be thinking when they get these. Though I like the look of the speakers, the only other thing I would have liked is the ability to wall mount them. Instead I bought a piece of pine board and made two small shelves and mounted them on the wall for the speakers.

Cyber Acoustics CA-5402 Platinum Series High Performance 5.1 Speaker System (Grey) Excellent Product! Great sound, although not enough mid-range. Kicking bass, excellent high-range. Love the all-in-one desktop control pod but wish it had a master power on/off switch. Great price and excellent value.

So these were the most expensive speakers i had on my list as I am a poor college student. But all the other speakers on my list didnt catch my eye so i decided to splurge on these. So once it arrives it comes in three different boxes and everything is plastic wrapped and all the cords are tied up, so you know they arrived safely. Just follow the picture on the box on how to hook everything up. Once set up these speakers were amazing, the bass shook my desk and i enjoyed this alot because I'm a huge bass fan. Whats awesome is the rear speakers actually play background sounds like cars honking or the wind blowing and the front speakers do the same but provide sounds that are closer, and the middle speaker plays the voice sounds in the movie. So when they say surround sound they mean it. Luckily my room is small so i was able to reach the speakers to where i wanted them but if you plan on using these in a huge room your going to need some kind of cord extender.Moving on, the black gloss look of the speakers matched my monitor perfectly. Coincidentally i also have a black router, shiny black external hard drive, and a gloss black phone, so when they are all on he desk together it seems like it was some kind of package deal lol. Lastly the control pod is AWESOME. You can turn up the volume easily by spinning the wheel (awesome for those wanting to be Dj's :p) and then there is a mute switch so when you want some quiet time its just a flip of a switch no need to turn the volume down, you can just hit mute and when your ready to get back on your computer it'll be at the same volume you left it. The bass control knob is also on the pod. I just leave it all the way up on max bass volume, there isnt really a difference, like when you have bass completely turned down it doesnt play but as soon as you start hearing it it doesnt increase in volume from the max. Lastly on the pod it has an aux in for plugging in of ipods and such which is pretty convenient and also a headphone jack for night time working. the only problem with that is the pods volume does not control the headphone volume, you have to change the system volume to be able to lower the headphone volume. And just to save people from future problems, make sure your computer or tv or whatever is at least 5.1 surround sound capable so that you get sound from all speakers, other wise some of the speakers wont produce sound. To wrap this up Pros: Relatively cheap, GREAT sound and bass, appealing to the eyes, control pod for easy access to speaker controls Cons: A little too packaged (can be a pro is some cases to prevent damage during shipping, a lot of wires so make sure you have some kind of entertainment system to hide them behind, not much bass variety (but the max is fine for me, its not booming unless you blast the volume), short cords Overall these speakers are great and all those cons dont affect me at all, i just foresaw what other people might experience in different situations, BUY THEM!!

This is a great system. Not just for the money, but all around. It has the sound of a system for a lot more money. It is very easy to set up, and has inputs for everything. The only flaw that I can see, is the middle speaker puts out a lot more sound than the others. This might just be when the mp3 input is being used, but even then it is not bad at all. You won't be disappointed with this system.

WOW!!! me and my friends have been getting into techno lately and i want some speakers with a kick and thees are them! great price! the are really easy to install and come with some really helpful adapters! once you intall them the first thing u notice is the bass its amazeing! great buy!!

I had an older series of Cyber Acoustics so I wasnt hesitant of purchasing this model as my desktop computer speakers. It was easy to set up and is color coded. There is one thing you have to know when hooking up the speakers to your CPU. If you have a 2 chan sound card, then all you have to do is hook up the light green wire to the back of your CPU. If you hook up all the wires (light green, black, orange)to the back of your CPU, there will be no sound. That lets you know that you have a 2 chan sound card. If you have a sound card higher than 2 chan, just follow the simple directions in the manual and you are good to go. The satellite speakers have a nice glossy look to them and are not too big so as to crowd your computer table. The subwoofer has amazing sound that gives great bass to your music. My computer is in a smaller room so the sound is just what I need. I am very happy with my purchase.

I can no longer listen to my laptop or mac computer speakers because this product creates such a high quality sound. The others sound too flat now. These speakers are great for the low price and can create a surround sound experience. The bass with these speakers is very good as well. I would recommend this product to anyone!

PRO: For the price, this is a nice set of 5.1 sound speakers. Great sound (For Computer desk surround, I wound not recommend this for your TV (if you sit further then 5 feet away)). I love the controls. Easy to set the sound level, as well as the bass level. - The Head Phones jack on the controller is very convenient for late night gaming. - The Head Phone jack will override the speakers, so there is no need to switch any settings when plugging in. CON: The only con I have is with the construction of the speakers. I like the way they look, but they are really lite. So they tip over easy. - I have a smallish desk, so I have been known to bump my speakers. If you have a larger working space, then this probably wont effect you..
