This is the first time I've chosen to review an item and I have been an amazon customer for years. These speakers really made it possible to at least make a dent in my friends loud ass house speakers in my dorm. I cna finally hear my music/ video/ tv (this requires some extra adapters put totally worth the trouble). Simpley said the speakers with the itunes equalizer can give u a crisp fresh sound and can really be felt with the powerful little subwoofer. ITs an amazingly low cost highly efficent set =) buy and enjoy.

I have had other Coby products in the past and they were junk, so I was skeptical when buying. I bought this to use with my Sansa Clip, and it just blew me away. You can turn the bass up loud enough that it will rattle things on your shelves, I never expected so much power from such a little thing. (Its only about the width of my hand.) I would recommend this to anyone looking for a 2.1 system.

This system is amazing. Sounds better than the set of Bose its replacing. The bass is superb. I am hearing bass lines in all my tunes that were all but invisible. I now have 4 of them all around the house. Just plug in iPod. How is it possible to sound this good at this price?

For the money, this is pretty darn good. I'm happy with what I paid and as an audio engineer, that's not something easily accomplished. I'm fairly picky with the equipment I buy, but I needed a somewhat portable set of speakers for my iPod and Macbook, something under $30, that can fill a 10'x10' room. This system fits the bill. This is *NOT* a stereo or bookshelf system, it's just a set of speakers! Keep that in mind when you go to buy it. Plug and play, but be sure to fiddle around with the volume and bass knobs on the back of the woofer (go with mid level setting first), then go to your EQ settings on your iPod, laptop, etc. Taking advantage of EQ presets or your own presets will give you the best from this little gem. I really do suggest making a few customized EQ settings in iTunes (or whichever program you use) for this speaker set. You will get more out of it that way. This is not a heavy, bass boost, butt kicking system... if you want that, shell out the $200+ for a bookshelf system with a huge subwoofer, because it's not going to come from this speaker set. This set is good for filling small rooms and possibly a bit more. It has a nice sound and does resonate the bass and low end rather well when the right EQ is used. It looks good to boot. Very nice little speaker set.

I expected them to be a little bigger when I ordered them and to be honest I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality these seemingly small speakers produce. They are worth the money you pay for. I'm giving them 5 stars because of the sound clarity and everything is just so balanced that I really enjoy my music like never before. I had more expensive 5.1 and 7.1 systems from Yamaha and Phillips. I can say that these have the same sound clarity to me ( of course not as powerful). They aren't so powerful so if you want to use them in large room it would not be a good idea, but they do fill my small bedroom with rich sound. Bass is really nice. You can actually feel the different notes of bass from it. I have HD sound card on my PC and I set them up as surround sound and they actually do act like ones. You can't really tell where is the sound coming from. All in all they are fun little speaker set.

All I have to say is, I was not expecting such good speakers at the price I paid for them. These have quickly replaced my old speakers, which have since been demoted from home computer duty to bedroom iPod duty. These speakers can get really loud, way louder than I thought they would, anyway, and if you crank the base all the way up, you can FEEL it. Obviously, I only did this once to see the limits of the speakers, but they work great for playing music in my one bedroom apartment. These are inexpensive speakers, but they're a really great bargain! I would definitely buy these speakers again..

PROS: Price! Many other sets that aren't nearly the same wattage or that don't look as nice are just as much if not more. Sound: For a small speaker set the sound is quite good. The sub a excellent in my opinion and the two speakers are good also. They seem to produce a slight muted sound in the vocals but is more than likely from how my equalizer is set. CONS: None really, but I would have liked the peripheral speakers to feel heavier, they are really light and have a cheap plastic feel which contrasts greatly with the heavy, sturdy feel of the sub. And the blue LED on the front of the sub is a little harsh on the eyes, but I do have it sitting on my laptop desk. I'm sure if it were under the desk this wouldn't be a problem. OVERALL: Would recommend this to anyone that wants a nice set of speakers for their laptop or computer, especially if you are not wanting to spend a lot of money. Side Note: I got this order 4 days before the estimated delivery date. Only 4 days after I placed the order on a Friday! Great Buy.

I picked this speaker system for my daughtyer to play her mp3 player in her room. She is very pleased with the sound she gets from it. Her brother who is a music maniac didn't believe the sound coming from her room from such an inexpensive product.
